Frequently Asked Questions about
insurance coverage for Physical Therapy:
1. How do I know if you are in-network for my BCBS plan?
It's easy! Go to my.providerfinderonline.com and be sure to select your network
from the dropdown menu. Then enter "My Pelvic Therapy" or "Angela Fishman" in the search box. If I am in-network for your plan, my information should come up in your search.
You can also log into your BCBS account (if you have an online account set up) and search for My Pelvic Therapy that way.
Finally, you can call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask the customer service representative if My Pelvic Therapy is in-network for you.
2. Will I have to pay a co-pay for each session?
The specifics of each BCBS plan can differ greatly from policy to policy. To find out the specific benefits of your plan, call the number on the back of your card and ask "what are my physical therapy benefits?". The customer service
representative will explain to you what costs you can expect to pay.
3. What if I have a different insurance?
At this time, I am out-of-network for all other
insurances. However, If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you can submit claims for each of your PT sessions for possible reimbursement.
Using an FSA (flexible spending account) or HSA (health savings account) to pay is also a great way to help make physical therapy more affordable.
Finally, you can also save money by purchasing a package of visits up front. You can save $100 by purchasing a package of 5 visits💰
4. Do you only treat pelvic
problems?
Heck no! While my specialty is pelvic health, I am first and foremost a physical therapist. Just like any other PT, I can treat any
musculoskeletal problem or pain you may be having.
From low back pain to shoulder strain, from pain with sitting at your computer to returning to running after baby, from teaching you
Kegels to helping you design a core strengthening program, I can help you via telehealth. The possibilities are endless.
Remember:
👉 No prescription or referral needed to start PT
👉 No prior authorization needed (for most PPO
policies)

(virtual) physical therapy
