Hi ,
Most postpartum women have heard of leaking when you sneeze or cough. That’s called stress incontinence — and it’s super common.
But there’s another kind of problem I see just as often:
The feeling that you always have to go 🧻
Or “I need to go right now” 🏃♀️
Or “I better pee
just in case” 🤞
That’s called urge incontinence or overactive bladder, and it’s just as frustrating, but less often talked about.
Here’s what many moms think:
“I’m peeing all the time, but I’m not leaking — so maybe I don’t need pelvic floor help.”
Or worse:
“That’s just what happens after having a baby.”
And often:
"No one ever told me this could happen."
But here’s the
truth:
Whether you’re leaking when you sneeze or rushing to the bathroom all the time — both are signs your pelvic floor needs attention.
And both are completely treatable — when you have the right plan.
